Zoya Lovely Collection Review

The newest collection from Zoya features three creams along with three shimmering pearly metallics. These colors scream Spring. Nothing like some delicate pastels to get you ready for spring. I'm ready for spring like weather... Just a few more months!! This collection is really refreshing and makes me want to pull out all my spring skirts!!

Jacqueline  – Perfect Magnolia Nude Cream –  (Originally designed for Peter Som)
This color was nice and refreshing for me because before I put this on I was wearing a lot of dark heavy colors and when I put this on it was like a fresh breath of air! I do like Zoya's description of this color as a perfect magnolia nude. It really is a creamy color of a magnolia flower. While it's pretty I did find application to be a little tricky, it was a little streaky for me in the first coats but at the end application looked flawless.

Blu  – Lucky Hyacinth Blue Cream
This is a very light baby blue pastel. Very delicate! I was surprised to see the blue become more alive when I was in the shade. For the most part it's mostly very pale blue. No issues with application for me it was a two coater.

Neely – Earliest Spring Green Cream – (Originally designed for Peter Som)
I'm a sucker for light greens so naturally this was my standout from the collection. So Minty so fresh and went on like a dream! Nothing bad to say about this, it's simply lovely!

GeiGei – Blushing Cherry Blossom Pink Metallic –  (Originally designed for Zang Toi)
This color made me feel very princess like! Super girly! Out of the metallics it was my favorite. Even though I liked it, I did have an issue with it. I used 3 coats maybe even 4 and for me it was a little too sheer. While it did cover "well" if you look at the picture above you can see visible nail line. It wasn't very noticeable in person but it was there and it bugged me. But it's Pink and Sparkly so it's perfect for when you want your inner princess shine through!

Julie  – Soft Wisteria Purple Metallic –  (Originally designed for Zang Toi)
This is basically the purple version of GeiGei. The formla wasn't as sheer as the pink though so that was a nice plus. Very delicate and shimmery!  I'm a purple lover but this isn't a shade that makes me go crazy. But I admit these metallics do make me want to play princess dress up.. Anyone else get that super girly vibe from GeiGei and Julie? I hope it's not just me being crazy.

Piaf-Fresh Forsythia Yellow Metallic- (Originally designed for Fashion Designer Zang Toi)
This is a very unique color, not quite gold not quite yellow. I don't think it looked very flattering with my skin tone and I admit I'm not crazy about the color. I had problems with the formula, in fact I had to reswatch it because it just didn't want to behave for me. I think it was fighting me back since I wasn't too hot about it. The funny thing is I layered a glitter over it and I really liked it, so by itself I'd leave it but it's a great base for glitters so it ended up being an alright color for me in the end.
