Lynnderella's When the Moon was a Star

I wore this over NOPI's If the Blue fits. It was a perfect fit! I had to fish out the stars and moons but it was worth the extra work because they were so pretty! I did not have any issues with this polish, It did need a few extra coats of top coat to smooth it out. In the pictures it may look like the stars are lifting off the nail but they were not, they stayed put under the top coat and they didn't even poke through. I don't tend to go for blues but this blue suited me while I wore it. heh the blue fit! okay its late, brain shutting down! Have a good weekend guys! I think I'll take the weekend off ! See you on Monday!

New Shopping Site launching Soon, Lacquerous.com

If you haven't noticed I've been trying to post almost daily lately and tonight I didn't get a chance to edit pictures but I still wanted to post so I'm going to cheat and share some info I just found out.

There seems to be a lot of Shopping sites popping up online, I mean A Lot, I've joined quite a few of them and while I might not always find a good deal every now and then I do find something that's of interest to me. Lacquerous looks very promising in that it is going to be a Luxury Nail Polish Source. I don't really have any details just yet if it's going to offer new sales every day or if it's going to be a monthly membership box type deal. At this point they are taking down e-mails and they will start sending out info soon. I figured why not I'm willing to see if this is something amazing i've got nothing to lose. If you're interested I have a referral link to sign up... As I said before I have no idea what the site will offer or even what the benefit of the referral is but they have my attention and if they have Expensive Nail Polish for a Bargin, Count me in!!

Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed, Plus Current Stash Pic

I'm not going to blab a lot since I'm trying to get this posted before midnight... I put this on today over the 50 Shades of Maybe Glitter I posted yesterday. I was hoping that it would be a little more opaque and completely cover it up but it didn't quite do that and honestly it ended up looking pretty cool, because the silver glitter ended up being a lighter green, which added extra depth to the manicure. So I have to say that this polish is pretty amazing, I was kicking myself for not getting it sooner and then Cult Nails discontinued it and I could not get it and while I didn't super search for it everywhere I saw it it was expensive. But I did want it because well I needed it to complete my Cult Nails Collection. I lucked out and was able to buy it and in the process I made a new friend.  It's such an interesting mix of glitter and flakies. It was worth getting!

Okay so tonight I took a picture of my collection and I posted it up on Instagram and it's been fun seeing all the reactions... I figured I'd post it on here too just incase you were curious and did not see it yet.  Here's a look at the stash from July 2011. I didn't do that much more damage but you can tell its bigger! Alright time is up... Good Night Loves!

Lynnderella 50 Shades of May-be

Here's what I layered over Essence Date in the Moonlight. I wore 50 Shades of May-be a few weeks back and I layered it over OPI DS Indulgence really quickly. I admit not the best underwear for this polish and the pictures I had were awful. Over the weekend I decided it was time to do justice to this polish and I think this time around I was more successful. 50 Shades of May-be is similar to Connect the Dots in that it's a multi shaped glitter that has white and black, but this one is a little more exciting because it's like 40% CTD plus silver glitter. I also noticed it had more random bigger pieces of glitter than I remember CTD having. Another standout feature of this polish is that it has and interesting sliver shimmer flakie in the clear coat. You can really see it when it's layered of a darker color, cause it was not even noticeable when I wore it over the red color. I do want to say that the navy I have on as the base does have a blue sparkle in it, however it was not very noticeable once I layered 50 Shades of May-be over it so in these swatches the Flecks you see are part of 50 shades. This polish is a beauty! Glad I was able to find a good fit for it!

Essence Date in the Moonlight

Every time I go to Ulta I admit I usually pick up a polish or two during my trip. Recently I've been bringing home quite a bit of the new Essence polishes. They just recently updated the line with new colors, new bigger bottles and wider brushes. Yes the cost did increase as well from 99 cents to $1.99, But I don't mind. To me these are still a huge value. Okay so I wasn't going to devote a whole post for this polish because I wore it to layer a glitter over it however after putting it on it proved itself worthily of a post. First of all I'm always impressed with polishes if I'm able to apply them without having to do any clean up, especially if it's a darker polish. It doesn't happen often so when it does it makes me want to squee!! yes no clean up occurred with this manicure!! This polish was a total home run for me, only took two coats and it was perfect. I'm not big on navy but the slightly lighter blue shimmer in it made this color that more exciting for me. I'm really happy I picked it up! Next post I'll show you what I layered over this!

OPI Pink Of Hearts 2012

Today I've got a look at the 2012 OPI Pink of Hearts set which includes I pink I can and You glitter be good to me. This is OPI 6th year releasing a set for Breast Cancer Awareness!  I pink I can is a sheer pink and in the swatches below I really layered on a lot of layers. It took me four coats to get it super opaque. A little further down you will see where I did a Glitter Sandwich with both of these colors and for that I did two coats, 1 coat glitter and then 1 final coat of I pink I can to finish off the sandwich and it turned out dreamy!  My camera had a hard time capturing the pink in real life it is slightly darker. For not being a big pink fan I really enjoyed this color.

You Glitter be good to me only took two coats to get it opaque and I layered it over I pink I Can. A lot of glitter comes on the brush that you have to be very slow and gentle if you just want to do a light coat similar to what I did for the glitter sandwich. I admit that in the bottle the glitter does not impress me much but once on the nail it really wowed me. It's so glamours and has this crazy mega sparkle shine to it. It's borderline blinding! The glitter is a mix of small light pink glitters with bigger fuchsia hex pieces. It's really a nice combo. Overall I love this set and the main reason is because it's so versatile. You can create several looks and they play really nicely together.

Pink of Hearts 2012 will be available September and October 2012 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $14.95 ($20.95 CAN) suggested retail

OPI DS Glow & Pics from IMTS 2012

I picked Opi DS glow to wear for my mini trip to Chicago for the massive tool show. It was perfect, it really did glow! Such a nice foil polish! Really elegant and not loud in your face.

IMTS was massive! It was in the McCormick place and it was spread out in 4 giant buildings. It was HUGE, made Cosmoprof look like a tiny stroll through the park! I was surprised I actually enjoyed the show! There were so many crazy machines that were as big as houses. Lots of crazy giant booths, overall it was surreal. I took random pictures from the show. I had fun in Chicago but I'm glad to be back home!

Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday

Yesterday was my Birthday and the first polish that came to mind was Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday. I've owned this for a while and never wore it till now. It was perfect for yesterday. In fact it's pretty perfect for any day. It's a super shiny multi-colored metallic glitter and it just hit the spot. The base color I have on is OPI DS Glow.
I also wanted to Thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday, There was so much love from every corner of the internet, I tried to thank everyone but there were so many it was hard. I also tweeted a picture of this manicure and got a surprise when Deborah Lippmann herself tweeted back to wish me a Happy Birthday... now that was awesome. I have a picture of that tweet below! Yes there are several versions of this polish out there but this one was the first and it really is a special one!
