I layered this over just a basic black and the result I got was Magic! I did 2-3 coats of glitter. Only set back to this polish is that you can't help but stare at your nails all the time! I'll leave this short and sweet and let the pictures do all the talking!

For the past few weeks I have been a complete Stalker! I went to Atlanta a while back and on the way back home to Greenville My Mom and I stopped at Brand Mart USA since it was a store she's never been in. That's when it all Started. On the way out I came across a KitchenAid Display and I was instantly obsessed. Since I'm not the type of person who can just buy something on a whim I pulled myself away and went on my merry way. I thought I'd move on and and forget... Well I didn't. At first I was upset that i didn't buy it because they had a sale and a rebate which made the mixer $285 plus tax. The cheapest I could find it online was $315. So the rebate was over and I once again filed it in the back of my mind. I felt really bad because I could go to my local Costco and buy a similar model for $150. So I struggled with the dilemma of is it worth paying double just to get the color. Which then brought me to the idea of finding a used one on Craig's list and having my brother paint it. He paints cars so i figured perfect i could even pick my own color. But the more I thought about it I could not forgot about Ms. Raspberry Ice. I even found an ebay store that KitchenAid has with refurbished models but they wanted 230 plus tax and it was with the stainless steel bowl. So by the time I bought the glass bowl I'd end up paying more so I just bite the bullet. I came across a Website that was having a sale Everythingkitchens.com , they had it for 304.09 and on their facebook website they had a 10 bucks off coupon not to mention no tax and free shipping. That was it I bought this beauty on Easter as a little present for myself and I'm still so excited about it that I had to go all out and do some matching nail art! Plus Kitchenaid has a rebate now where you can either get a meat grinder attachment or an extra glass bowl... I've already got the grinder so I'm getting an extra bowl! Total Win Win, Glad i didn't buy it the first day i saw it or else i'd end up paying more and I wouldn't have the extra bowl.
A little side note... I've never been a huge fan of hot pink, never had an urge to own a mixer like this so I'm really puzzled to why I has this strong need to have this. But I'd do it again. I pulled her out and made some chocolate chip cookies... (here's the recipe hands down some of the best cookies i had, and I'm not a huge cookie fan)
Okay a quick note about the polish. It's Zoya Trinity and it was the closest matching color I could find, almost a near dupe of the mixer. This color is freaking hot!! Just like the mixer it's a hot pink but it sometimes looks like a super rich magenta. Formula was perfect no issues. Love looking down at my nails and being remind of my new mixer! I showed my husband my "mixer" nail art and he totally laughed at me, He thinks I've gone nuts with the mixer!
PS: Kitchenaid please come out with a matching nail polish line for your mixers, I'm sure a lot of us Nail polish fanatics would be all over that!! Hint hint!!

I've sat on these pictures forever! So here's another "old post", this is a Mani from December. Main reason for taking my sweet time with this one is the fact that Duochromes are so hard to photograph and because of that I think I took way too many pictures(which means too lazy to edit pictures!) Plus I usually always feature my left hand for pictures. For some reason that I don't remember now I put this on my right hand. So notes about this polish... It is a very light sheer polish that is best layered over another polish. If you put it on by itself well it wouldn't' like like much of anything. I layered it over just a basic black. The color shifts are surreal! It is real beauty to see in person. Hopefully you can get an idea of how many colors it does show off by the pictures below.
Have a great weekend!

Here's a look at my first attempt at a Jelly Sandwich. I gotta say it was really fun experimenting and like always makes me wonder why I did not do it sooner. It's also an older manicure back from February. In the final look I did two thin layers of OPI Makes Men Blush when I should have just done one slightly thicker layer. The layering looked better when the top coat wasn't as opaque since you could see the layers of glitter better. I've got a picture of my right hand where I think it looked a lot nicer. I liked how the silver in Divine Swine ended up looking like a white once I covered it with makes men blush. After a few days of wearing this I threw on Glitter Gal's Silver Holo and had one last Hurrah before I took it off.

I know I know I've been really neglecting the blog... hopefully this can make up for some of that. So I started this manicure as a base for some nail art I was going to do. I was going to the Dentist and I was totally going to paint on some teeth, but once I put the dots down I didn't want to cover them, Plus Lately i've been wearing my manicures for a week or so and I didn't want to look down and see teeth. So I left it as be. So the visit at the Dentist was alright, I chipped a part of my tooth over the weekend and had to go in and get a crown done. So now both my mouth and wallet are crying but in the end it had to be done. So colors used.... purple is Essie's lilacism, green is Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Green Tea and the white is Zoya Purity. This manicure totally has me ready for Easter because nothing says Easter to me like pastels!
Have a good Holiday Weekend my Loves!
