Lynnderella Ghost of a Chance

I want to take a little time out and blab... I've been trying my best to blog more often and I think if you are a frequent reader of the blog you'll notice that I've been posting on almost a daily basis. Besides the amount of work that goes into putting a post together I'm slowly running into the problem that I don't have much left to post about since I'm not changing my nail polish that often. Well I am painting my nails on almost a daily basis but where I run into trouble is when I'm trying to swatch a whole collection. If i try to put them all in one post then i'm losing out on having material to post on since i'm saving it all for a collection post. Sometimes I get lucky and have a great weekend where I have time to do that and the sun is actually out and i can fly through several polishes. If I don't get it done on a weekend then I pretty much  have to swatch a polish a day and then hope that I have some sun the next day. I really make this so much more complicated than it has to be. I love to take pictures in various lighting and sometimes I wish I could just take pictures in a light box and be done with it. I'm so tough on myself that well honestly I didn't really want to post these pictures ghost of a chance because I didn't feel they looked good enough. But since I'm sorta out of pictures this one is up and well they're not as bad as I thought they were in the first place. I know my pictures might not be the best out there but I really try hard to post pictures that to me look great. I am my biggest critic and I just need to get out of my head and not care as much... hah yah right

I also want to address that lately I have been addicted to wearing a lot of Lynnderella polishes and I really would like to have some variety on here but lately my addiction to the glitter is so strong that I have to say I'm sorry if it seems like i'm constantly posting glitters. I will make an effort in the future to change but I have like 3-4 other posts I haven't done yet and well they're all Lynnderella polishes. So know that i'm not trying to torture you guys. Things are pretty hectic for me usually and when I don't have time to do nail art wearing an interesting glitter really scratches the itch for having a more unique manicure. So bear with me while I get past this hump.

Soooo.. Ghost of a chance. I wore Nopi Here we kome a Karoling as my base. I like these two together but I don't feel like I've found that perfect underwear for Ghost of a chance just yet, I tried it over a light blue cult nails polish I had and well I wasn't sure about that one either. For now I give up. This was part of a halloween collection but to me it's got more of an easter feel to it. I suppose it's because it's made up of pastel glitter. I did 2-3 coats. I had no issues with this one. Im all blabbed out. Thanks for letting me get that out of my system! :)

Bonus Picture: Right after I just painted the first coat of Ghost of a Chance this buggy landed right in the wet paint!! Let's just say he had a Ghost of chance of surviving... I'm not a bug person but it was tough having to pick this bug off my nail knowing that all it's legs were going to be ripped out of it's body :(

  3. This is a pretty combo. Ghost of a Chance might also look nice over a light pink.

  4. Loving the Lynn's, keep them coming. I've been trying to work out what to wear this one over too. I was thinking white? I still don't know.

  6. The fly looks like nail art. That made the mani totally Halloween! I can't stand those little pests!

The Lynn looks interesting. My husband is so good at pairing bases and glitter, I wonder what he would say to put this over. The milky base makes it tricky over a dark color. I am thinking a light cream is best, but I am stymied!

I thought your rant was very interesting, I think I could have written that. I have increased my posting frequency mainly to see if I could, now I am scaling it back and it is hard, I feel guilty, but I have to work on other stuff too. Oh well! : )

Your pics are really good, I think we are our harshest critics. I like that you put them up anyway, good for you! It is all about the polish anyway!

  7. Thanks for reading through it! Blogging is a labor of love and sometimes I get the impression that others think it's so easy. When you start to post more frequently you're so right you start to feel pressure to try to keep up with the pace and it's difficult to find the time to do it all.. I'm still trying to figure out that balance... i'm afraid i'll never quite master it :) Thanks for your comment it made me happy ! :)

  9. hah good, I feel a little less guilty about the excessive lynn posts knowing there are some that enjoy it! I didn't really spend a lot of time finding the perfect base, it was the polish of the week in the glitter fairies facebook group and i just put it over what i was wearing at the time. i don't know if you're a member but you should join us!

  10. I think pink would be a good match just haven't tried it yet, but i was thinking of a slightly darker pink so that the pink glitter stands out instead of blending into the background... so many possibilities!

  13. I really like this polish. I was just admiring the Lynnderella Halloween collection today. A lot of the polishes don't look overtly Halloween-ish, I think they would be good for any time of year. As for the blogging, do what you go to do, what you feel comfortable with, otherwise you will burn out. I've been posting everyday and it's a lot of work, and I don't even have to deal with comments since I'm on Tumblr. I find that I might have one day a week with good sunshine where I can do 3-4 polishes, so that I'm not having to change my polish and photograph it every day. But an entire collection...no way. If you feel the need to review a collection, why not break it up into several posts?

  14. Ha! You should have played off the bug like it was nail art. Put some topcoat over it or something. LOL!
