The Hungry Asian: Sea Creature

I haven't been buying any indie polishes off Etsy. That was until I saw this polish in person. My friend had a bottle of Sea Creature and Sneeze Breeze. After seeing them I pretty much ran home signed up for Etsy and bought a few polishes. The funny thing is I was wearing this when I ran into a fellow polish lover from a town over at a BBQ and when she got home she ordered this as well. Hah once you see it you can't un-see it! I wore it over Revlon Emerald City. It's mostly a green/blue glitter with very fine black glitter along with a sprinkle of purple glitter. The Hungry Asian really created such a beautiful depth in this polish that its easy to get lost looking at it. I wore this for about 9 days. In a few of the pictures you can see the tip wear I had... not bad for 9 days worth of wear!

The polish retails for $9.25 for and at the moment it is sold out, but if you keep an eye out for it i'm sure it will be restocked soon enough. Here is a link to The Etsy store TheHungryAsian .
I plan on buying a few more beauties from her in the future!

  1. Hi there. I love your blog and your nails but I'm really curious about something. I've noticed that your pointer and middle finger nails look more rounded at the tips than the ring and pinky fingers. Is that something you do purposefully or maybe just some strange curves in your nail? I'm kinda obsessive about my nails and so it bothers me a little bit when I look at the pics. Anyway I hope I didn't offend. Still like your nails.

    1. Not offended but i don't know why it would bother you. My index fingers on both hands are slightly curved, they're claw nails. the rest of my nails are fine, I'm not sure what you are seeing about the middle finger nail i've never had any issues with it it's always been straight it's possible the way i have it shaped is a tad different than the others. If you really want to get bothered look at some of my earlier posts i used to have my nails rounded and i didn't quite know how to take care of my clawed index finger so it really looked wonky! I've learned that the best way to handle the claw nail is to square it off because it's not as noticeable. At the moment i'm rocking a stiletto shape i'm gonna see how that works on the clawed index fingers. Thanks for taking the time out to leave the comment.

    1. It's similar in that it has blue and green, but ATU has different shaped glitter in a jelly base polish and Sea Creature is mostly a glitter polish. the two are really different but i can see how they are similar since both have that deep water feeling to them

    1. it is very well made, i was impressed! It was hard to cover up that Revlon since it was pretty sweet on it's own but sea creature did make it like a hundred times better!

  4. Hello! Love your blog. I thought you'd made a typo in this post, which I would've ignored, but since you called Etsy "Esty" every time, I figured I should mention it! Thanks for the link, some of those polishes are calling my name.

    2. I must be going through a rare anti-glitter phase that surely won't last long, because the simplicity of the Zera Grey Creme with green shimmer really appeals to me. I think I might be able to get close to it by using a regular grey creme and dusting it with a green shimmer pigment. Mint Condition is yummy too!

    3. hah yes this sounds like a very rare phase to me. I'm usually never into glitters but all of a sudden i can't get enough of them! i bet you could get really close to copying Zera. I've seen several green shimmers out there so i'm sure you can get something comparable. let me know when you pick glitters back up! : )
