OPI DS Luxurious & Indulgence

When I saw the Press Release for these I admit it did not light any fire in me. But once I saw the bottles in person the flame started to flicker. Once on the the nails, the flame pretty much roared! Both of these have a really nice formula, the brush gave me lots of control and I only needed two coats. I have a lot of polishes that have a similar golden sheen in the bottles but nothing that actually translates that shimmer onto the nail like these Two DS polishes. The Diamond Dust in the DS line really helps pull out that golden foil effect making these reflect light like crazy. You will also notice in the pictures that these polishes transformed depending on the light. These truly are perfect fall colors. I'm ready for some pumpkins and cranberries! hmmm While we're at it I'll take some turkey too! These will be Available for sale in September.

Luxurious:
I don't know what is going on with me lately I really dislike orange in general and all of a sudden I'm having an orange fever over here. This one is beyond amazing. It's such a bright and cheerful orange with a golden fleck foil finish in some lights it even has that slick wet look. Pure Eye Candy! In the PR OPI stated with these two they were adding two RED polishes to the DS Line. However I would not be to put Luxurious into the Red family.. it's just too orange in my opinion. The base does have a pinkish coral look but once you layer on your second coat that quickly disappears. Luxurious is really the stand out for me!

Indulgence:
This polish has a deep berry red hue to it. Really reminds me of Cranberry Sauce, that is if someone knocked over some awesome gold glitter in it by accident! It also has a similar golden shimmer foil look like Luxurious however the golden flecks stand out more in this darker base. I not really crazy about this color but then again I've never been a fan of darker reds, I prefer a brighter red but considering this is a fall color it is spot on for the holidays!

  1. These are gorgeous!!! I'm not usually an orange fan, but I've been picking them up lately. This is a must have now! That red is the real kicker for me though. Rawr!!! Love it with the new nail shape!!

    1. I know it seems like even though i'm not an orange fan the color just looks great on me. Damn you Orange! hah I'm glad you like the new nail shape, We'll have to see how long it lasts! it might be too much work once the nails start growing, since i'm not a big of fan of filing. I think after a few months i'll nub them down.

  2. I think these both would look better matte. I like the colors but I think if I got them that would be the only way I'd wear them.

    1. I tend to forget about Matte, But that sounds like an interesting idea I'll have Mattify them and see how that shimmer responds to that.

  3. I really want to love both of these. But I am so tired of the OPI DS polishes being rough with glitter chunks vs what they used to be, I probably won't be getting any more of them. I saw a comparison of the orange one here with ChG Riveting. They were enough alike for me and I really love Riveting. Want to see these 2 in person which will be hard as the only place that I ever can get to look at them in person is a 450 mile drive each way. I would love if you had commented on your impression on these about if they are rough and really glitters or if you feel they are in a more glass fleck catagory.

    1. These aren't rough at all, Very smooth, it's a glass fleck not a glitter, I said the glitter comment about the cranberry sauce because that seems more realistic that someone would spill glitter. Yes these aren't in the same ball park like the original holo ds. they are venturing more into the realms of Orly Mineral FX world. I love me some holos but i'm happy to see something new. The DS collection they put out last year was full of glitter i didn't buy those but these aren't like those. I have riveting and while it is similar it's different enough so if you like oranges it wouldn't be a total loss to have both. Luxurious is more packed full of shimmer compared to riveting and has a slighter deeper base.

  5. Luxurious is stunning! I already have Riveting, which is (I think) close enough for me, but it looks incredible here. Just gorgeous!
