So sometimes when you take a break and it ends up being longer than you planned it can be hard to get back in the groove of things. Sadly that is what happened. However It was a much needed break... The most exciting news is that The hubs and I are finally Home Owners! We haven't moved in yet and it will be a little bit before that happens since we have a few plans to fix up a few things before we officially move in. Things on the list... painting, redoing the heating and air/replacing the ductwork (hubs used to do heating and air so won't be as costly, a whole kitchen remodel... ( I've already bought all my appliances... was not as exciting as buying polish but I did really well!) So lots of hard work is ahead but it will be fun.....
So Here's a look at a Polish I wore what seems like months ago. Black Holo was not as exciting as I expected it to be. In fact the holo effect was rather muted. Would I buy this one again? Nope...
I also was not impressed when this one arrived. Another I thought I should really love and did not is that 10-midnight or something close to that name which came out mid of late year or maybe it was fall last year. I was sorry I had spent so much $. This one looks far better in the bottle than on the nail sadly - esp for GG brand.

ReplyDeleteWow. From looking at the bottle, you would expect this polish to be just spectacular but it just dies on the nails, doesn't it? Bummer. I am glad that I saw this, tho. I can remove it from my wishlist, now.
I would actually get this one. black always looks good on me :P Black holo makes it even better, no matter how muted it is

I can't believe how the effect doesn't translate onto the nail - so disappointing. Congrats on your new home!
ReplyDeleteI noticed their holos aren't as strong as others, though I like the colors I bought. Lizard Belly would probably be more like what you thought the black holo would be.
