Challenge Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial: Butterfly Wing

Day 30!!! Woah only one more day left in the Challenge! 

So today's nails are Tutorial inspired. I've seen various tutorials for Butterfly wing nails, I did not use any one I sorta checked them all out and this is what came up with. This was my first attempt at doing this type of design and it's not as hard as I thought they would be. Now if you look at the polishes I used at the bottom of the page you'll see I used quite a bit... I did quite a bit of stamping but it didn't really show up so well since they colors blended so well. After I finished the design I went back in and put more Zoya Rica  to make it stand out more. 

Challenge Day 29: Inspired by The Supernatural

Here's my take at supernatural nails. I've been playing Mario 3D, so this was a no brainer. At the bottom I have a few pics of the base before I drew on the Boos and it was really hard to cover it up. I really need more CND effects in my life!! I really like how this one turned out , only negative I have about it was my placement of the "BOO" on the nail, wish it was more centered. Did you notice the rhinestone I put in King Boo's Crown? See you guys tomorrow! Only a few more days left!!

Challenge Day 28: Inspired by a Flag: Polish Flag

So when I saw this theme day I knew I was going to do a Polish flag, hah that was a no brainer being that I'm Polish. I've already done an American Flag on the 4th of July so I didn't want to attempt another one. Here's a link to that post: My American Flag Nails . I had a little more planned for this mani but once I got to this point I felt like if I did more they wouldn't look as good as they did. So I stopped and left it crisp and clean. Now in some of these pics it may look like an Indonesian flag instead of a Polish, but that's only because while a polish flag is white on top red on bottom the Indonesian flag is red on top white on bottom. 

This was a very much needed simple manicure since some of the last few have been pretty intense!

Challenge Day 27: Inspired by Artwork: Matt W. Moore

At first I was going to do something by Renee Magritte but after pulling up his work I wasn't really inspired so I had to further my search. I knew I needed to find artwork that I could actually do so anything realistic was just out of the question. Well I came across a few pieces by Matt W. Moore and I've seen his work before here and there, so I went over to his site and was blown away! There is so much awesomeness I think I spent over an hour looking at it all. He does a little bit of everything but my favorites were his murals. They are beyond AMAZING. The one I did, I actually saw in the video I linked below and when I saw it I instantly feel in love and knew it was "doable" for me. I found a pic of it and got down to work. I gotta say hands down my favorite Manicure I've done to date, I never thought it would turn out as good as it did since the mural is such a massive piece. I was surprised at how well I was able to translate it to the nails. I seriously wanna delay tomorrow's Challenge just so I can enjoy this a day longer..... i might just have to... LOVE!

Challenge Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

Not Much to say about this one. It's amazing eye candy and it makes me happy just looking at it.

Challenge Day 25: Inspired by Fashion

I knew I was gonna have to go with something Gwen Stefani inspired, I've loved her style for years and the lady loves to rock out in White & Black. Any white and black pattern you can think of she's probably worn it. The piece i used for inspiration is from her L.A.M.B 2012 Spring Collection and it is AMAZING. I wish I did this print justice but it was too detailed and intense for me to try to capture it's awesomeness on my nails. Not to mention I was in a slight Food Coma and should have been in bed & not doing my nails at 2am. 

On my Right hand I did a complimenting black and White Mani featuring Connect the Dots by Lynnderella. I could totally see Gwen loving Connect the Dots! Next time I wear this I think I'll do a similar thing by putting it over black and white polish but i'll do a checkerboard pattern on the nail first. 

I bet that would look CRAZY!

Challenge Day 24: Inspired by a Book

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I had a few other books in mind for this theme day but since it is Ihanksgiving I went with Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving. I wish I had more time than I did but with all the cooking and cleaning and EATING I didn't have much. Here's what I came up with. I was hoping it'd turn out better but at least it wasn't a total fail. Hope Everyone had a good Turkey Day! 

Challenge Day 23: Inspired by a Movie: South Park

These are getting really Tough! So I didn't start this until very very very late mainly because I couldn't figure out what to do. I was seriously considering doing "The Color Purple" and just painting my nails Purple. So I vented on Twitter and Twitter answered back. My one Twitter buds suggested Breakfast at Tiffany's and I loved the idea. I actually planned out the whole mani and pulled the colors ready to go. But before that I mentioned some of the other movies I was considering and well South Park was one of them so I'm getting ready to do the Breakfast at Tiffany's Nails and I get a tweet back begging me to do the South Park Nails so I just had to do them.  This is my first go at doing actually well   known characters on my nails. Gotta say it was tough but they look close enough that I'm gonna say I passed this challenge. Haha I gotta say when I think of South Park I also think of Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo so it was perfect because he was just the right size to put on my pinky... hah never in a million years did I think i'd be drawing a piece of Poo on my nails!!! hah okay Enjoy...

I'm not sure which bloggers are still doing the challenge since a few of them have gone on breaks from the challenge so i'm not going to bother linking them today.
