Zoya Touch Collection

             Minka                  Pandora                 Shay

The Ultimate Search for Mannequin Hands Begins!!

I was pretty excited to try these babies out because it seems like nudes have been all the rage in the past few months. I have a ton of nudes in my collection and I feel like none of them come close to being a "perfect nude" for me. After reviewing this collection I can say I'm one step closer to having the perfect nude for me. This group is an interesting bunch because they have a touch of metallic finish to them. You can see it well in the bottles but the metallic isn't that noticeable on the nail. It's nice because it adds a little hint of shimmer to the color. So application wise I feel I was a little let down with these. I think it's because I was just swatching the Zoya smoke collection and those went on like a dream, these were a little tougher. The polish seemed to be thicker and harder to apply and took a little bit of patience to smooth out. Still a great formula compared to others but just know you can't rush application on this one. I'm glad that finding foundation isn't as hard as finding the perfect nail nude!

Minka
This one is the lightest of all 3 of them. When I first saw this collection I thought this one would be the best match for me because I always consider myself super pale and blindingly white. But it wasn't a great match for me. On the Zoya site it says this would be flattering for people with neutral and olive tones in their skin.  I have cool undertones in my skin so this didn't look so great because even though this polish is super light it's got yellow undertones and it leans towards a warm tone.
Pandora
Pandora surprised me the most because it looked a lot better on me than I thought it would. Yet it still wasn't quite right. This nude is pink based with a slight hint of blue undertones so it's great for cool toned skin. For me it was too "dark" to be a good nude for me.

Shay
So out of all the three I liked this one the best. Not the Perfect Nude I was after but so far it's the closest thing i've found and for now it hits the spot. It's odd to me that I liked it so much because on the Zoya site it states it has orange-red undertones and that it compliments warm skin tones... hah well I'm like the opposite of that I have a lot of blue undertones in my skin and I'm no where near a warm tone.

  2. nudes are tricky, I've long ago stopped searching for the perfect one. If I had access to Zoya I'd probably go for Shay. Or Pandora. They look pretty with that slight shimmer

  6. I don't bother with nudes, find them too boring. But I got some of the nail spoons in each color and it seems like Minka would be a good nude for my skin color. Maybe I'll get it someday :)

  9. yes nudes can be boring but sometimes they make for a great palette cleanser. After wearing a lot of crazy bold colors it's a nice change to go with a nude.

  10. thank you! Nudes are dull but you can always play them up. plus if you have a sheer polish that gives you visible nail line you can always paint the nude on your base and then put the polish on top and you don't have to worry about vnl. so there are some good uses to having a good nude in your collection
