Some of the Amazing people I met at CosmoProf 2011

So I've got a lot of pictures and I thought the best thing to do would be to split it into two posts. This one will be pics of me and some of the AWESOME people I met. Now there were so many great people I met but I didn't get a chance to take pictures with all of them so here are just a few of the ones where I actually snapped a picture, and oddly enough I look pretty decent in them. I usually am not very photogenic, so I'm thrilled these came out so well!

The first day of CosmoProf was CRAZY, I got there and it was beyond overwhelming, I felt like I was stuck in a maze! The place was HUGE! I must have wondered around for a few hours in the same section because I swear the exhibitors started to all look the same! After a few hours of wandering around lost I finally latched on to some of the other blogger girls and once I did that I was able to ease up. I have a huge appreciation for the organizers of CosmoProf because it was very well organized and seemed to be a Big success from what I could tell. Events like CosmoProf are so important because it's a chance to get to interact with a lot of people all at once. From a Business standpoint that is so important because you can meet with everyone at one place not to mention it's a great way to discover companies.  Plus sometimes it's your only chance to get to put an actual face to some of the contacts you have. When you work with people and talk to them over the phone you imagine them and then when you actually get to meet them they always look completely different.  So speaking of that it was so much fun meeting the other bloggers since all of them looked completely different then what i imagined they would look like. It was funny because we were all recognizing each other by our nails!  I wish I had taken some pics of me and the other bloggers, I thought i had but the few I had were actually blurry. What an amazing opportunity this has been just to be able to meet the other bloggers from all over! So Besides meeting a lot of my favorite bloggers I had the once in a life time chance to meet some VIPs of the nails world. I still don't believe it, in fact I look at these pictures and I think, that's a pretty lucky girl, and then I realize hey that's me!
Katie from the TV Show The Nail Files. She was so sweet to all of us and such a character, she kept us all laughing. She invited us all out for drinks! We all fell in love with her!

Christine From Temptalia. She is such an inspiration, I'm in awe of all that she has accomplished and look forward to seeing her continued success!

Deborah Lippmann.  I still can't believe it, but Deborah took time out to talk to us! She talked to us for over an hour and told us how she gets inspiration for her colors and went into detail about how her color yellow brick road came about. Which included a story about Lady Gaga and the Grammys. Do you see how star struck I am!!
Zoya! One of my Favorites! She was such a pleasure to meet, and so down to earth. I'm honored that I had the opportunity to sit down with her and just talk. I love to talk but I think Zoya had me beat on that, she's very talkative! I even got a few history lessons from her about Poland(I'm Polish). She's a very passionate person and it shows, A Truly Profound Women!
Another person I was honored to meet was Noubar! I asked him how they came up with the Nubar name and he simply said "It's my name!" hah I felt silly since I didn't realize it was his name, everyone kept saying this is Mr.Nubar himself, He was very kind. I even asked him why peacock feathers was discontinued. He mentioned that it was due to the price increase on the pigment that's used to make the polish, the source they were getting it from had suffered from a natural disaster and it wasn't as available and the price had more than doubled. He mentioned that peacock feathers was not the only polish affected by this, and that a few others dropped off because of this reason too.
Julie G. She is so stunning in person. This was after dinner at the end of a long day and look at how Amazing she looks, me on the other hand, eh not so much. hahah Julie is such a pleasant and fun person to be around!

  5. I am so jeals! For many reasons.
For example, Mr. Nubar himself is really hot (IMHO). LoL
And I'm glad that he explained why they yanked Peacock Feathers. <3

  6. Hi, I have been reading some of you blog post. When your CosmoProf post caught my eye I was extremely excited about next years. I am also a blogger, http://www.paintedtipzntoez.blogspot.com but I am very new to nail blogging and so still trying to figure out everything. I was wondering if you had any info about the convention that you did not post? also how much it was to get in?
    Thanks,
    Sierra

  9. Sierra, Thank you for being a reader. CosmoProf is for Licensed professionals and Businesses,  I contacted the PR Department for CosmoProf and filled out a media registration form and after a few e-mails back and forth I was granted a Press Pass for the event. The main reason for this type of show is to get manufactures, suppliers and distributors together. It's strictly Business related. There was no buying or selling allowed at this show. I am still in awe that they allowed me to go! The best advise i can give you is to focus on building your blog up and do it because you love what you're blogging about. So many people these days are starting up blogs for all the wrong reasons, as long as you are passionate it will show and your blog will bloom into something amazing! Much love and success to you!

  12. me Darling? heh Darling makes me think of shirley temple, heh I'll take it! I'm not sure what the next upcoming year holds for me. It was an awesome experience but ultimately a very expensive trip(I blame the husband i dragged to Vegas with me) and i feel like i accomplished what i set out to do. I might try to go to one of those Conventions where you can actually buy polish at, hah i know i know i don't need any more, but that would be heaven for me! Hopefully one day our paths will cross!
