Green Gradient Mermaid's Tail Nail Art

So sponging was the theme for today's Monday Nail Art and because I did not feel like talking off my base color ,Peridot I decided to grab some greens and do a gradient design. The stamping was a bit of an after thought once I got done. Funny how some manicures just create themselves! I have to say I'm really happy with this. I don't do a lot of stamping especially on the full nail simply because my nails are too long and I'm not the best stamper. But I gotta say I feel like I did well on this one. There are a few minor spots that are botched but overall nothing major.

So here is a picture progression of my gradient mani.

Polishes used: Chanel peridot, Borghese Euro green, Orly It's not rocket science, Orly here comes trouble, (not pictured) stamping: Sally hansen's insta dry jumping jade,  Plate used bm-209

I love how the green tips glow in this picture

I sorta like this more than the full stamp

  6. wow this is one expensive manicure...=D i agree! i love it even more when it only had one stamp... but ah well, sometimes we like to ruin perfectly good things. at least it turned out alright!=P

  7. heh it happens, i've ruined many a manicures, but hey best thing is you can always remove and start all over again! sometimes it's hard to just stop, i try to work on a fake nail tip to design sometimes but this mani had too many steps for me to want to try to recreate and i was just going with the flow.

  11. Pretty amazing...and yes, like any art form - a lot of it just comes along as one works on it - adding as you go. You did end up with mermaids tails - 10 of 'em. How in the world do you manage to wok at anything with that length on your nails? I could not even get my face washed or sheets on and off the bed with those!

  13. thank you memee! i just added on a glitter on top of this and it looks even better, you are so right it is an art form! As far as the long nails i just use my actual fingers more and my actual finger pads than the tops of my fingers/ nails, hah its so late i'm not sure that makes much sense, but you get used to having the nails since they grow over time not just over night. Thank you for your comment!
