Several of you let me know that you wanted to see more Manicures with Konad stamping. Since I aim to please (most of the time) I dusted off the ol konad plates and got to work. Since Reef Green is a metallic i got out some metallic Acrylic paint I had laying around and on one hand i played with it. I used folk art metallic amethyst and metallic periwinkle. I dipped my brush in both and just painted the nails all funky. I didn't have any method to this, I was just messing around, I call it a "distressed" look. I didn't do the other hand cause I wasn't sure I liked it so much so I went and did something else.
Okay next day i decided to add the stamping on. Since i was in stamping mode i just did both hands. I used Special Konad polish purple and Green. After i stamped i just used my brush and added more dots all over the nail.
Funny thing is i love how the stamping turned out on the "distressed" design. It makes the splattered paint look more believable to me. While my husband thinks it looks better just on the green. I like both of them even though my two hands are "different" i have been enjoying the overall look of the manicure.

ReplyDeleteOh my gaaahhh I love this! Splatter patterns are my favorite! The colors are cute, too!
ReplyDeleteThat splatter pattern is amazing. Love that manicure. Your distressed look is also fantastic! If only I had some darn length to my nails. I just chopped off what little I had. Trying to get rid of the last of the peeling.
ReplyDeleteI love the splatter!
