Sally Hansen Magical Crystal Ball

Okay so this post is very pic heavy. It was very difficult cutting it down to the 12 pics i have because i must have had a 100 good ones of this polish. A very good friend of mine gave this to me not too long ago and it is easily one of my favorites out of all the hundreds i own right now. I used a special base coat i had (avon nail metallics 2 step chrome base coat) it made a huge difference, It must be similar to nfu oh aqua base out there, Because it was a bit watery looking. my only problem with holographic polishes is that you can't slap a top coat on them, since it just kills the holo in them. So i felt a bit unprotected the 2 days I had this on. I didn't have a lot of polish built up on my nails for the extra protection they need. But it was worth being extra careful since i could not stop looking at them!

This is on top of the side view mirror or my car, i wish my car was painted with this nail polish instead of the silver it is!

  4. passion is a nice one! I do not own any of the other ones you listed, i have approx 16 or so holo polishes and this one is the most holo out of all of them. i've seen a post on someone else blog where they did a comparison and i think it was towards the top. i think gosh and chanel might have a holo that might be just as holo if not crazier. sorry i wasn't much help

  5. This really amazing looking. I had to go back to check what brand it was. I thought for sure it was a Nfu-Oh. Gorgeous.

  6. Stunning, so wish we could find holos like this in the UK, but nothing anywhere!

  7. You most certainly can use normal "shiny" top coats with holos,
it is the matte top coats that kill holos.

    Just a little fyi :)

  8. i've tried various top coats with holos and have not had much luck, for me they all seem to dull the effect. I read somewhere where you just do like a sandwich effect and that's worked for me. you paint your nails , put your top coat on and then at the end just paint on one last coat of holo. Any one brand you use? I've got like 20 different top coats, although I haven't tried them all on holos, none of the shiny top coats I tried work well with the majority of holos I have
