Finger Paints Romanticm Ruby: My Mom

This is my first go at fake nails, My mom really wanted longer nails for the new year and she wouldn't give up about it so at first we tried acrylic while it wasn't a big disaster i just was not satisfied with the results. I just did two nails and i sent her home. I need to buy some metal nail forms, the sticker ones were not working out for me. The next day we soaked them off and i just glued some tips and used some glue resin. sorta the same technique i would do if i was using a silk wrap to repair a nail just minus the wrap. It's been close to 5-6 days since i did this and so far only one has fallen off and well it was because she was peeling an orange and we all know how you're not supposed to use your nails as tools. heh not too bad for first time doing something like this. The color was so-so, i have other similar colors to this that i like much better. I wish it was more covering since in some of the shots you can see the tips, but overall they were not as visible in person. Forgive the messy cuticles on this one, red is so tough and in general i have a harder time cleaning up others than i do myself. I'm sure in the future i'll attempt acrylics again.

  1. You can peel a ornage with acyrlics and they shouldnt break they are that strong. But I agreee with the metal forms, although you cant buy them anywhere as they went out of them, my moms getting hers custom made.

  2. I haven't really looked long for the metal forms, I've seen a few on ebay. So it shouldn't be too hard to get. The nail tips did what we wanted they lasted through the weekend and then some. Looking forward to reading up more on acylics so I can try again
