Flower Nail Art with Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen
So I went to Ulta and picked up the sally hansen nail art pen and when I got home I was inspired to actually use it. Here are the results of that. I started off with a french manicure base and did the blue flower first, then the purple and last did the leaves/vines. I was really happy with how this turned out except i was not happy when it came time to do my right hand. Next time i think i'll avoid the extra work by doing a french and just do one solid color if i'm going to be panting a lot of the nail like I did. Not bad for first time using a small paint brush on my nails!

So after my last flashy manicure I was in the mood for a dark shade. I would have never thought to look to this color but someone asked me what shade this was from one of my haul pics and it was an ah-ha moment because i knew exactly what i was going to do from there.
So this color is a very dark vampy red. Most of the time it looks black but when the sun hit is or any light you get these amazingn hints of red sparkle. I had no issues with application. If it looks a bit lumpy it's because i painted this on top of my last manicure... I was short on time and really wanted to cover up the last manicure. The last day I threw on a coat of Hidden Treasure to mix it up some. So here it is...

Rasta-FALL-ian colors... Happy Thanksgiving!!
Okay so I was going for a fall themed manicure with this one I even got the leaves stamped on and I was really excited to show my husbad and the first thing he said was how this was more rastafarian than fall. The colors i did were orange, green and yellow. The colors ended up being a little too vibrant. At first i wanted to do red, orange and yellow for the background but I thought that would be more flamish than fallish. The orange on here in the pictures is coming across more as a red but it really is orange.
I painted these with L.A. Colors Art Deco polish and I have to say it wasn't the easiest thing to do but to my amazement it worked out really well. Cleaning up around the cuticles took a while but not that much longer than any manicure. If you don't own any of the Art Deco polishes , check your local Dollar Stores and pick some up!!
Items I used for this manicure, It's hard to see here but the Konad polish is a dark reddish brown.

Nail Art Success!!
Here is some random nail art I did on top of the mis-magenta me polish. The colors remind me of a glass Christmas tree topper my parents had when I was younger. I wish I had a picture to share.
Over all I was really was happy with the end result. I'm pretty new to "drawing" on my nails. At first I was really nervous but after a few strokes I started to have fun. I figured if I mess up I can always go back over and fix it. I'm looking forward to more creative designs in the future. The last two pictures are with a matte top coat.

Mis-Magenta Me Nicole by OPI
This is such a stunning polish. It's one of those "i can't stop starring at my nails all day" polish. It's a pink foil polish with a silver base. It's insanely pigmented and vibrant. Application was easy and looked great after one coat but i did two to smooth out everything.
This Week's Haul
Here are the finds of the week... i hit up a few sally's beauty supplies, ross, tjmaxx, target, ulta and walmart. I know should be a lot more after going to so many stores but i still think i did pretty good.

First Attempt at Gradient effect w/ Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
*update... the next day i fixed this manicure by putting a heavier glitter( Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquer Sprinkle of Twinkle
on the tips to blend the colors more together
So I feel like the result isn't too bad, but it's not quite right, It looks more like a candy stripe. My husband said it reminded him of the lifesavers popsicles. I think once again like always I got a bit trigger happy and goofed up. it's supposed to be more of a gradual build up. I sponged most of it on but i think i should have started lower on the nail and not so high up. I do like the colors and think this would be awesome for Valentine's Day. All the colors used are from Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength line from top to bottom, pink promise, love in bloom and ruby slippers, i topped it off with diamonds. I'll have to try this again another time.

Manicure Fail!! Orly Fantasea
I got a little tigger happy with this one that i forgot to snap a few pictures of this polish by itself. It's really an amazing color, but was not a big fan of how sheer it was. I think i did like 3-4 coats. So i went overboard with the amount of flowers i put on my nails. Between both hands i had around 55 of them. The overall look just ended up very globby/sloppy. I should have just left it at the one in the middle. So this turned out to be a failure because the flowers did not lay flat on the nail and with the amount i put on there the tops of my nails were very rough. The next day after i snapped some pictures i went ahead and cleaned it up because i was afraid one of the edges of the flowers might catch on something and rip a nail off. Next time i'll know better.
the pictures don't show off all the sparkles

Nail of the Day! Neon Sponging with M33
I took a really boring white nail base and jazzed it up with some easy to do nail sponging. Hope you enjoy!
All the items i used for this manicure. If someone is really interested i'll post the colors but for now i'm gonna be lazy
First step: On top of the white color base sponge the first color in opposite corners on the nail
Second Step: repeat with second color in remaining corners. Third Step: sponge the third color in the center of each nail. (this step is not pictured)
Fourth step: stamped konad image in the center of each nail. Final step: finish it off with a coat of Seche Vite. Enjoy!!
Here's me bothering my kitty showing her the new design
Very happy with the results! very simple to do and the color options here are endless.
