Ulta Haul

I stopped in to Ulta since I had a $5.00 off coupon and I came across these marked down beauties. I'm tempted to go back and pick up a few more I left behind.
Got this at Walmart, for 5 bucks, they don't have any  names on them and i have to say they don't seem to be the same quality as other Hard Candy polishes I have. They're also much smaller even though the bottle appears to be the same size. They're also really stinky and gloppy when compared with the normal hard candy. Would i buy this again? honestly no i rather have one decent bottle of polish than lots of junk.
Here's a Goofy Picture of me and the snowman I "helped" my husband build. Not the most flattering pic but hey they can't all be good. This was right before we got in the car to go to Ulta. fyi my husband refuses to go inside Ulta he rather sit in the car. Anyone else have this problem?

OPI DS Original Nail Art Swirl

I had lot of fun with this one, and I have to say this is one of my favorite manicures i've done so far. I just love how these two go together and I catch myself starring at my nails a little too much with this. OPI DS ORIGINAL is just crazy,  I don't know what else to say about it other than it is a must have in your collection. I did the swirl with a nail art brush from Sally's. It was pretty easy and turned out amazing, or at least i think so.

I Took this picture in the shade against a snow background.  Even without the prismatic colors it looks great!

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors and this purple is the exact shade of purple that made me fall in love with the color. It came out looking different depending on what lighting i shot the pictures in. Regardless of the lighting it looks amazing. I had some application issues with this color and my base coat, when i was testing this color before i was ready to use it it went on great, but once i prepped my nail and smothered on some base coat it wasn't acting the same, it felt heavier and just took more time to get it right.

Butter London Haul From Hauelook

This showed up last wednesday and it was so cute looking I had to share. This was my first order from Hautelook and it did not disappoint. Also I'm surprised that they came in one piece considering they weren't packed super well. The pic of the box is how it looked when i opened it. Not a bad deal at all!!

Here's a link if you would like to join Hautelook, They always have new sale events everyday and it's always different (everything from clothes/shoes/makeup/jewelry). A few days ago i bought a bunch of urban decay make on there for super cheap. I'll have to post that when it come in.

Glow in the Dark Polish

So I wanted to post this back when i did this manicure but for some reason i wasn't able to pull the pictures off my camera till now.  I picked this up at Marshalls for a buck and i happen to have the best manicure on my hands to test out how the polish works. For the most part the polish goes on clear, the pink is the most tinted. I've included a picture of the polish painted on the manicure below. Not bad for a dollar, but this was a really stinky polish. Pretty neat!!

These are pretty much sheer. Order from thumb to pinky: yellow, pink, blue , green and yellow.

Christmas French Manicure: My Mom

So After seeing my manicure my mom wanted a christmas themed manicure for herself. So we decided on a french tiped type manicure with christmas colors. We were going to do a typical sheer French base but i was wanting to try out this new Jelly polish Chuffed by Butter London.  My mom loved it, so we left it and this is what it turned out like. The red and green are LA Colors Nail Art Polish. I love the brush on them! This one looks better in person, could not get the light right late at night.

Festive Christmas Manicure China Glaze Party Hearty

So this is what I came up with for Christmas. I'm not sure if I will change this before saturday because I really like how simple this is yet flashy at the same time. This is on top of the OPI DS Reflection, I used China glaze Party Hearty and LA nail art gold glitter. The pictures did not fully capture how great this turned out.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

OPI DS Reflection

So I went with OPI DS Reflection because I needed something to warm me up after the last few icy manicures. Reflection has holo speckles in it and it's actually quite pleasing. I chose this over OPI DS Ruby(crazy holographic) because it's a more saturated red. I did at least 3 coats, it'll cover in 2 but i needed the extra coat to even things out. I threw on a coat of Seche vite and it really made Reflection shine like crazy! I had a hard time picking pictures this time around so I put several up.

Winter Theme Manicure: My Mom.

Keeping up with the cold winter theme I decided to do another icy manicure. The reason for this is I had some blue snowflake stickers I wanted to test out and since I already did an icy manicure on myself I knew I wouldn't get around to doing it anytime soon. My mom came over and really wanted something pinkish, heh maybe next time. She's a very colorful person and her least favorite color is blue. One of her favorite colors is orange. In fact her whole kitchen is painted a bright orange and she has red and yellow accents.  She says that looking at her nails makes her feel cold. I'll have to make it up to her next time. As far as the stickers, they fell off the next day, might have held up better if i just painted one coat and put it on there. I did a bit of a layered paint job and perhaps there was too much polish for the stickers to hold.

Urban Decay Make Up on sale : HauteLook

Click the link above. They are having a mega sale on Urban Decay make up today, All Items $2.00. They have some amazing pigments that usually go for 20 bucks on sale for 2.00. Just got close to 300.00 worth of make up for 36 with shipping. Check them out. That website always has some pretty cool sales, a few weeks ago i picked up some butter london nail polish for 5 bucks a pop and that stuff goes for $15.00.

Icy Winter Holiday Manicure

It has been soooooo cold lately I felt like doing an icy snowflake manicure. On top of the Orly Blushalicious color I lightly sponged Orly Delilacful it's a blue silvery color. I then went to town with some Stamping.

So I have two different designs on both hands but really they are the same. I did not like how the colors looked so when i did my right hand i switched it around so that the snowflake was the dark navy color and it stood out against the background. Also I stamped the left hand with more snowflakes so they would show up more because they were a lighter color, I did not need to do that on the right. I finished the design by dotting some Orly Halley Coment in random places.

Orly Blushalicious

I needed a change from the last dark manicure so i went with ORLY BLUSHALICIOUS . I have to say i was worried this would be a really sheer color and that i would end up with a visable nail line. That was not the case, this was two coats and it went on like a dream.  Best thing about this color was the golden sheen.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Uptempo Plum

So This was one of those i'm tired but i need a change manicures. I was a bit lazy and i did this on top of my last manicure. I try not to do that too often but it happens every once in a while. i needed a dark color to cover up the last mani. This was one of the colors from the ebay haul disaster. It's a very nice dark rich purple color and in the bottle it is stunning but once on the nails the shimmer is not as strong and it sorta just turns into a black. I picked the insta-Dri polish because polishes from that line are meant to go on quick and easy so you can get out the door fast.  No complaints about the polish it did what I wanted it to.
Over the weekend i hit a flea market and picked up a LA Colors Art Deco i did not have. I believe the name is orchard glitter. I just took it and swiped it across the nail to add some more sparkle to the mani. Turned out decent but since i painted it on top of the last manicure i will prob end up changing it very soon since it does not look as neat as i'd like it to. Hope everyone is staying warm!!
